Day 1 - Garry Point Park

Description:

Circle Garry Point Park for views over the Salish Sea take some great photos out at Gary Point Viewpoint, an excellent place for a run or to walk the dog. Enjoy the fresh breeze and explore the waterfront, Kuno Garden (a Japanese style memorial garden), beached logs, expansive open areas for picnicking and kite flying. There is also a Fisherman's Memorial Needle on the south side of the park. Lots of wildlife such as migratory birds, frogs and many different types of plants along the path. One of my favourite things to do is simply enjoying some fish and chips or an ice-cream on one of the park benches, a really beautiful place.

Day 2 - Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Museum

Description:

Walk along Steveston Fisherman's Wharf Pier to experience the bustling fish market, great river views and home to the largest commercial fishing fleet in Canada. The catch of the day is unloaded here for sale, and you can buy a range of freshly caught seafood including shrimp, Dungeness crab, sea urchin, and spot prawns to name a few. Can also take a tour of the historic Cannery Museum, built in 1894 in the historic village of Steveston, the Gulf of Georgia Cannery was once the largest building of its kind and the leading producer of canned salmon in British Columbia. Experience the stories of this place and its people through interactive exhibits, films, and guided tours on Canada’s West Coast fishing industry.

Day 3 - Night Markets (Seasonal May-Oct)

Description:

As the sun goes down the night markets come to life, 74% of Richmonds residents claim Asian heritage so there is a diverse range of international style cuisine with over 100 food stalls and over 200 retail vendors in peak season! Seasonal May to Oct (check specific dates depending on year). Open Fri, Sat, Sun and some public holidays.
