Day 1 - Granville Island Market and Stanley Park

No better way to start your time in Vancouver than the food market and Granville Island. All varieties of coffee, pastries and donuts not forgetting their fresh fruit and vegetable. Sit on the pier and watch the boats sail by with the beautiful Vancouver city skyline in the background. Later walk off the calories around the picturesque Stanley Park. If you haven't eaten enough already, pack a picnic!

Day 2 - The Grouse Grind Trail

Get some oxygen in your lungs and take on the Grouse Grind challenge at Grouse Mountain. Hiking an elevation gain of 850m in less than 3km, its tough going, but definitely worth it. Feel the endorphins as you reach the top and take in the gorgeous view below. If this ain't your thing, don't worry there're always the Skyline you can take up, and for those who sweated their way up, you can always enjoy the Skyline down. Oh yeah, and don't forget the bear spray!

Day 3 - Whale Watching

You may never have a chance to see Orca and Humpback whales as up close in their natural habitat as here. Whilst there are many reputable companies to choose from we chose Wild Whales who were excellent. A 6 hour trip will take you out from English Bay to the strait of Georgia. It's a comfortable exhilarating trip, and even if you miss seeing whales you will still see a broad range of wildlife including dolphins, bald eagles and otters. Just awesome.
