Day 1 – Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Wall and Topography of Terror

Start your day with one of the most important monuments in the whole country, survivor of the World War II and former symbol of Berlin division at the Cold War, nowadays it represents peace and unity: The Brandenburg Gate! From there, take a look for yourself at the wall that once separated Berlin, at East Side Gallery you will find a wall of 1.3 km long full of history and art, this part of the Berlin Wall is an open-air gallery. Interested to know how it used to be originally? Check out the original piece at the Berlin Wall Memorial! While you’re there, learn a bit of its history at the outdoor and indoor museum Topography of Terror, located right in front of it. The place illustrates with documents and photographs the time when the Nazi regime took power and it stands at the very same location where once were the headquarters of the Gestapo, the high command and security service of the SS and the Reich Man Security Office.

Day 2 – Checkpoint Charlie and Alexanderplatz

What once was a border crossing during the Cold War, dividing East and West, Communism and Capitalism, today is a must-see sight in Berlin, the Checkpoint Charlie! You will find loads of tourists and a sign: "YOU ARE LEAVING THE AMERICAN SECTOR" – in English, Russian, French and German. Head then to Alexanderplatz, in the city centre! One of the liveliest places in Berlin where you find shops, cinema, restaurants and many attractions, including the Fernsehturm, (Berlin’s famous TV Tower), the Berlin Cathedral and the Rotes Rathaus.

Day 3 – Holocaust Memorial, German Parliament and Schnitzel!

In the heart of the city you will find the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, also called the Holocaust Memorial, there are 2,711 blocks of concrete with different sizes, a place to remember the victims of the Holocaust. You can also visit its exhibition at the bottom. Visit the German Parliament, the Reichtag! A beautiful historical building where you can either join a tour inside or stay outside by the huge green area, appreciating its beauty while having a picnic. Finish your tour enjoying the night and the German culinary, try out the famous Schnitzel!
